What does the American dream mean to me? What it means to me is that
I have the freedom to be able to get up and go to school and work every day
without anyone saying anything to me. I have the freedom of speech, my
religion, freedom of where I want to go to school, and what I want to wear.
Freedom is a big thing in schools today, schools don’t want to let their student’s
show who they really are because of dress codes and other things. Students
should be allowed to express who they really are or who they want to be. Also
that you have the freedom to break from society and that you can lead a successful
life through your hard work. Everybody should be able to say what they want to
say and do what they want to do. I also
think that the American Dream means that everyone should be equal. It should
matter what race you are, what religion you study, or even what culture you’re
from everyone should treat everyone equally. We are all the same inside we just
look a little different on the outside. If we start treating everyone the way
we would want to be treated then maybe we could change the way our society is
today for the better. That is what the
American Dream means to me.
