Students and Faculty take a stand

I don't think that at a school the students ability to learn should ever be affected by the campus climate. If the leadership of that community has failed the leaders and the students they represent then they need to focus on what's important and fix those things. The system is not listening to their students, the system has heard students plea behind closed doors and they have had no effective response to them. Tim Wolfe should not be a leader for the University of Missouri because he has failed to listen and respond to the students trying to reach out. I believe that the football players did the right thing standing up for what they believe in. If you are going to be a leader at a school or anywhere where there is different cultures involved I don't think you should turn against all except one, if you do then you are not responsible enough to be a leader. After much argument an a walkout performed by the faculty and a strike from the football players who said Wolfe had don't too little to combat racism on campus Wolfe finally resigned on Monday November 9,2015 in the middle of criticism of handling of racial issues. The football players had said that they would not take part in football related activities while Wolfe was in power. The football coach had posted that he backed up the football players efforts to force change at the school. I believe that the football players did the right thing. If Wolfe wasn't going to try and change the school someone had to.

Student thrown around by Police

So a couple weeks ago this girl was thrown around the classroom by a police officer that was on duty at the school because she would not get out of her seat. In my opinion I think the girl should have just listened when asked to get up and leave, but she probably just wanted to see how much trouble she could cause and well she caused a lot because now the officer on duty is being hated on by mostly everyone in America. What people don't notice in that video of the police officer and student is she actually hits the officer in the head and chest while he is trying to get her out of her seat. I don't think that the officer should have handled a young women like that, he could have of done something differently but I do think she needed to be taken out of the classroom because she was being disruptive. Only one student stood up during all of this commotion to say something ad that student was arrested also, which I don't think is right because that student did nothing wrong to be arrested. I think that there are beginning to be a lot more conflicts between black's and white's in today's society and that should be stopped.
